Abstract EN

This research deals with the possibility of investing the transformational generative approach and benefiting from it in analyzing structures rhetorically according to Chomskyan theory, and questions the extent of the possibility of deconstructing and constructing the graphic image, identifying its superficial and deep structures, and determining the ways to transform it.

in order to achieve this, we first referred to the relationship between grammar and rhetoric, and then applied the partial image that is limited to the graphic image, where we chose simile and metaphor as a model for application.

since language is based on grammatical and rhetorical structure, and what is applied in the analysis of grammatical structure, it necessarily applies to rhetorical structure, and this confirms to us the possibility of taking this approach as a tool for analyzing rhetorical structure.
