The debts of the debtor are pledged against all his property, which constitutes the general guarantee.

And the debtor can allocate a special guarantee for the benefit of the creditor, represented by mortgage or assignment titles.

However, these guarantees, whether general or special, can be exposed to several risks, including loss or damage; this reduces the value of this collateral, which is not sufficient collateral for the debtor.

This study deals with the means of protecting general and special guarantees through insurance law and its role in guaranteeing the creditor's right by strengthening the protection of this, in addition to the means dealt with in the general rules.
