The emergence of the idea of sustainable development and its new content based on meeting the needs of current and future generations in a fair and balanced manner, and then practically crystallizing it in various aspects of life, had a great impact in bringing about many changes in it, as its concept started from the need to protect the earth, especially from the environmental point of view - as a result of the Ecological disasters occurred - to include later on other aspects that shaped the scope and dimensions of sustainable development.

Among these changes was what the urban sphere witnessed, which witnessed a great boom in the emergence of many types of cities, most notably sustainable cities.

In which the concept of sustainable development is embodied in its urban framework, as these cities are characterized by a set of specifications and characteristics that distinguish them from many other types of cities, whether traditional or even modern.

The reflection of sustainable development and its dimensions in that manner has led to a close interconnection between it and sustainable cities and their components.

The latter has not been pointed out in an independent study before.

This was the essence of the basic idea of this topic that we studied as the main pillars upon which sustainable cities are based.
