Abstract EN

This research paper deals with the political practices throughout the political process of the pro-independence movement " The Étoile Nord-Africaine " and the "Algerian People's Party" from 1926 to 1945, as it reflected its radical tendency towards independence through the demand for freedom, which is evident in the literature of this movement.

Its socio-cultural references, along with its democratic ideas in the Diaspora, contributed to the formation of a clear picture of colonialism as well as the historical and political situation of Algeria at that time.

Its policy was marked by political rebellion against the colonial government by requesting complete and unconditional independence, in addition it also established its political patriotism through programs and newspapers, relying on strikes, demonstrations and marches in particular, which had a great impact on polarizing the mass classes and strengthening the populist side in its struggle.
