Abstract EN

This research aims to identify the prevailing leadership styles from the viewpoint of the faculty members of leaders at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait, using the descriptive approach in the survey method due to its relevance to the nature of the procedures of this research.

Assistant / Lecturer) in the various scientific departments “Islamic Studies Department, Arabic Language and Literature, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Library and Information Sciences, Educational Assets and Administration, Curricula and Teaching Methods, Psychology, Music Education, English Language, Special Education, Physical Education And sports, art education, educational technology, home economics, interior design, computer” at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait, numbering 569 faculty members.

The practices of the democratic style of leadership are determined from the viewpoint of the faculty members at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait in that they inform the subordinates of the work going on within the administration, plan to work in cooperation with subordinates, attribute the success of the work to the efforts of their workers, and encourage subordinates to be creative.

The practices of the autocratic style of leadership are determined from the viewpoint of the faculty members of the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait in that they concentrate all the powers in their hands, blame all of their subordinates in case of poor work, and take important decisions themselves.

In the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait, they follow the open-door policy without caring for what they hear, they leave the subordinates the freedom to develop solutions to the problems they face, they give the subordinates the freedom to make decisions in the administration, they give the subordinates complete freedom to determine their goals without their participation.

The dominant leadership style among leaders from the viewpoint of faculty members at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait is the democratic style with a relative weight of 7798 with a percentage of 76.45% , followed by the free style with a relative weight of 4615 with a percentage of 75.41% , followed by the autocratic style with a relative weight of 6831 with a percentage of 74.41%
