Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reality of applying the principles of governance in the Department of Teachers' Affairs in the General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate, from the teachers' point of view.

The study followed the descriptive approach.

The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect study data and achieve its objectives.

The study population consisted of transferred teachers in the internal transport movement at the end of the academic year 1440-1441 A.

The study population reached 1013 teachers, and a random sample representing the community was chosen according to scientific methods, numbering 295 teachers.

A questionnaire was consisted of three axes: transparency, integrity, and justice, and 39 items were answered according to the Likert quadruple scale.

The study concluded with a set of results, for example: the application of the principles of governance in the Department of Teachers' Affairs in the General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate was low in every axis of the study, and the reality of applying the principles of governance in general was low, and the study showed that there are statistically significant differences according to the variable of the school stage.

This is for the benefit of those at the primary stage, and the existence of statistically significant differences according to the variable of the number of years of service for the benefit of the group whose service ranges from 10 to 20 years, it also showed that there are statistically significant differences according to the current work variable for the benefit of teachers, and there are no statistically significant differences according to the scientific qualification variable.

The study recommended several recommendations, such as update the systems, regulations, and laws in the General Administration of Education to enhance the application of the principles of governance.
