Abstract EN

The researcher discusses the nature of the relationship between economic activity during hajj and the practical rules of Islamic jurisprudence such as the combined intention of trading along with the intention of performing a religious duty, and how that relates to a comprehensive Islamic system combining both wordly life and the hereafter.

The researcher goes on to show that the intention to trade is not applicable only in the case of neccessities; rather, it includes luxuries as well, such as gifts and other items.

This particular rule has a positive influence on the absolute permissibilty to trade including goods that are vital needs, neccessities or even improvement goods.

Not only that but it has an influence on the increase of trading activity between Islamic countries during the season of hajj.

The researcher then outlines the implications of expanding the scope of trade and the importance of investing in the opportunity to develop the economies of Islamic countries.

He also lays down the financial and economical processes which would benefit the economies of the member countries of The Organization of the Islamic Conference.
