Abstract EN

The question of development has become one of the greatest challenges facing the majority of the States, and in order to strike a balance in the international and domestic levels, and Algeria, like other countries, has adopted ambitious policies in many areas.

Without a doubt we find that the transport sector in Algeria has a strong relationship with development, with the latter in general and road transport in particular playing a crucial role in linking industrial areas of the market, not to mention the social role played by the latter.

The main role of this study is to diagnose the reality of road transport policy (road, rail) to see the degree and extent of its contribution to national development on the one hand, and It is not only to highlight the problems and shortcomings of this sector on the other hand, but also to identify the solutions offered by the authorities to promote the transport sector to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
