Abstract EN
Tadmor showed a presence and a strong presence before Islam until it was almost a vow to the Roman occupation, especially during the reign of Queen Zenobia and the leader Zebeda.
The Queen sought to liberate herself from that occupation and control its wealth and capabilities to serve its people.
Not only that, but she was able to expand the geographical scope until its influence spread to Egypt and many of the surrounding territories.
However, this did not appeal to the Roman Empire as well as some Arab tribes surrounding Tadmor, and despite the destructive resistance to defend its land, the unequal the kit and number between it and the Roman Empire made the latter impose their authority over Tadmor and captured its property, toppled its walls and knocked down the walls.
