Abstract EN

This study deals with the sale contract CIF and its truth in maritime trade and its adaptation in Islamic jurisprudence by presenting the sayings of the jurists on the issue, mentioning their evidence, discussing it and arriving at the most correct opinion on the issue, then the research deals with the reality of documentary credit and its types and its adaptation in Islamic jurisprudence, as it is the approved method for paying the price in selling CIF, and the research ended with an explanation of the reality of marine insurance on the goods and its ordinances in Islamic jurisprudence.

The research aims to clarify the Sharia ordinances in dealing with this type of sales, as it is one of the most dealt with in international trade in import and export operations.

The research concluded that the sale contract was adapted to the sale CIF on the basis of selling the absent buyer on the quality, and it took the opinion of those who said that it is permissible with the proven right of the option to the buyer unless he had sold it to a third party, then the option of seeing forfeits as his right and the contract becomes binding on both parties.
