Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the extent of awareness of fac- ulty members in the Sudanese universities of the importance of forensic accounting and the need to add it to higher education curricula in accounting so that its outputs are able to meet the challenges of discovering fraud, and manipulation of financial statements, and to enhance the capabilities of graduates and pro- vide them with modem tools that help them keep pace with the changes in the evolving business environment.

Some results of the study: There is an awareness of the importance of including forensic accounting in the faculties of accounting departments in Sudanese universities, there is a need of including forensic accounting within the accounting curricula in Sudanese universi- ties, the study recommended: There is a need for strengthening contact with foreign universities and international professional bodies to keep pace with the development in accounting and au- diting field.
