Morocco had known multiple waves of epidemics and famine which had been of different intensity and negative impact.

To cope with these epidemics and famine, people would turn to God, the Almighty, by observing religious rites and they would also turn to the eminent jurists and scholars so they would supplicate God, the Almighty, for to end epidemics and for rain to end famine.

People also would solicit their advice to confront the plagues.

Moroccan jurists had played an effective role in tackling pandemics.
