Abstract EN

This study aimed at estimating production functions of sheep meat at Beni waleed area through a field study by identifying and measuring the most important productive resources that can affect the production of the sheep meat, with a view to economic indicators that help the sheep farmers to promote their farm productivity.

The study relied on preliminary data through designing a questionnaire for random sample of sheep breeders in Beni Waleed area through personal interview for sheep breeder in 2018.

The most important results of the study can be summerised as follows:The amount of meat produced from sheep is directly proportional to the number of animals and the amount of processed fodder manufactured , the amount of forage (clover),and the amount of forage ( Oats).

As demonstrated by the results of statistical analysis that total production flexibility in the study sample value is positive and greater than one, so that they reflect the increasing yield relationship for capacity, where approximately 1.375, the value of coefficient of determination rate is about 84%, Which means that these elements responsible for approximately 84% of the variables that occur in sheep meat production quantity in the study area.The Results of the analysis turns out variables, preparation of animals, and the amount of feed concentrate manufacturer (lost), and amount of forage (clover), and the amount of forage (oats), has an effect on the produced quantity of goat meat in the study area.

The capacity yields have been increasing reaching a total production flexibility 1.311 a modified selection coefficient was about 77%, which means that these elements are responsible for about 77% of variables which occur in the goat meat production quantity in the study area.
