Abstract EN

The vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 is a framework for transformation and change into a knowledge-based society that begins by developing the educational system, raising the quality of education outputs, increasing the effectiveness of scientific research and encouraging creativity and innovation, which dictates the importance of keeping up scientific research in general and educational research in particular with the directions of the vision and addressing the most important issues and priorities that it adopts.

The current study aims to formulate a research map for the specialization of the educational administration departments in the colleges of education in Saudi universities by examining the priorities and issues that can be derived from the directions contained in the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

The study adopted the Delphi method that the researcher applied to a sample of faculty members in the departments of educational administration in 10 Saudi universities in addition to a number of experts (32) in the ministry of education who obtained a doctorate degree in the educational administration.

The survey included 5 main themes about research priorities related to governance, institutional development, structuring, and social, economic, political and cognitive priorities.

The study presented a proposed research map for the educational administration based on a number of goals and objectives, and includes the most important areas and priorities of research and issues that fit the directions of the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
