This study aimed to estimate the effect of trade openness on economic growth in Maghreb countries.
In addition, it aimed to investigate the impact of interaction between institutional quality indicators and trade openness on economic growth in these countries.
In order to achieve its objectives the study used panel data covering the five Maghreb countries during the period 2002-1-2019.
Moreover, it utilized correlation analysis and Panel FGLS method.
The main findings of the study indicated a negative impact of trade openness on economic growth.
Furthermore, the interaction variables coefficients showed a positive and significant impact on economic growth in the Maghreb countries.
