The degree to which the College of Education at the University of Hail meets the requirements of the first standard of the British Commission (ASIC) standards for institutional accreditation from the students’ perspectives.
This study aimed to reveal the degree to which the College of Education at the University of Hail meets the requirements of the first standard of the British Commission (ASIC) Standards for institutional accreditation from the perspectives of the college’s students.
To answer the study’s questions, the researcher used the descriptive approach, which suited the nature of the topic, and relied on the questionnaire as the tool for data collection.
The use of the questionnaire in this study is due to its relevance to the aims of the study, its methodology, and its community.
The study sample consisted of (302) students, which were selected in a simple random way, from the original targeted community of the study that comprised of (3020) students, distributed into (6) academic programs.
The study sample was chosen with a percentage that represents the community honestly in terms of number and characteristics.
To analyse the data, the researcher used a set of statistical methods including: (frequencies, percentages, Pearson correlation coefficient, Alpha Cronbach, mean scores, and standard deviation).
The study revealed a number of results, and among the important results: there are clear external signs showing the name of the college at the University of Hail, the numbers of its buildings and facilities.
There are instructional signs inside the college buildings indicating the floors numbers.
Furthermore, inside the buildings of the College of Education at the University of Hail, there are clear signs indicating the names and num bers of rooms, in addition to a common room for students in the college.
These are among the requirements of the first standard of British Commission (ASIC) for institutional accreditation.
The study also indicated that the fire extinguishers in the College of Education have expiration dates.
It is one of the means and procedures of security and safety that are required to fulfill the relevant standard.
However, the study indicated that there are insufficient fire extinguishers installed on the walls of buildings, corridors and floors in the College of Education.
Moreover, the results showed that there is insufficiency of learning places designated for students and equipped with internet access in the college.
In light of these results, the researcher highlighted a number of recommendations included at the end of the study, and provided suggestions for future research
