The current research aimed to investigate the role of alternative evaluation methods through the Blackboard system in light of the Corona pandemic in developing the skills of the 21st century among students in the special education departments at King Abdulaziz University and Taif University from their professors' point of view.

A list of alternative evaluation methods was administered through the blackboard system, in addition to the scale of "University students" acquiring of twenty-first century skills" from their professors' point of view to a sample consisting of (14) faculty members at KAU, including (6) in the male section, (8) in the female section, and (25) faculty members at TU, including (15) in the male section, (10) in the female section.

Statistical treatment included the following method: means, and the non-parametric statistical method, Mann-Whitney.

Findings revealed that faculty members use quizzes and final exams, weekly assignments and research, electronic portfolios, group discussions, and individual discussions, Morover, individual and group PowerPoint presentations at a large extent, while using individual and group oral reports and presentations, demonstration, observation, and assessment scales at a weak extent.

Findings also revealed no differences between faculty members (male - female) on the dimensions of the scale of their students' acquiring of twenty-first century skills and the overall degree, and there were no differences between faculty members (male-female) at King Abdulaziz University and Taif University on the dimensions of the scale of "students’ acquiring of twenty-first century skills" Also, there were no differences between faculty members at King Abdulaziz University and Taif University on the dimensions of the scale of "students' acquiring of twenty-first century skills" in light of the Corona pandemic Findings were interpreted in light of the theoretical literature and the results of previous research.
