The research aims to study the problem of the lack residential units ‘’ residential shortage ‘’ in the urban sector in AL - Qadissiya province .

The research is trying to estimate the residential balance to put estimates present and futurism housing need ,which distributed according to urban centers that belong to AL - Qadissiya province .

The estimates contained on the needing for substitution housing units and the number of vacant dwellings ,and it’s relied on important demographic dimensions which they are population growth average , birth , death , migration , size and number of families .

The research reached to , there is alack of residential balance with population growth average that is not harmony with residential balance growth ,and it’s stressed on the activation of the governments role in process of housing development .
