Abstract EN

This study investigate the effect of implementing Wheatley strategy on developing some skills which, included in TIMSS test for eighth grade students in Gaza.

The researchers used the experimental approach to be suitable for the subject of the study.

The sample of the study consisted of seventy six of eight grade female students in Gaza.

They used the experimental approach in the study.

The results of this study are: 1) There are statistical differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean sores of experimental group and the mean scores of control group on the post application of the thinking skills test in favor of the post application.

2) The effect size of employing the Wheatley strategy on developing some thinking skills for eight grade students is estimated by ETA Square (α ≥ 0.14) and higher than 70%.

The study included some recommendation for further work.
