Abstract EN

This article deals with one of the topics of textual linguistics as one of the episodes of the development of the linguistic lesson focusing on a basic criterion that is required to be available in the text in order for it to be considered a text, which is the media, and the media in its simplest definition is only that information that the addressee derives from the discourse looking at our linguistic heritage in general and the grammatical and rhetorical heritage in particular, we find that this criterion is present in the Arabic lesson ; as our scholars knew it and dealt with it according to the characteristics of Arabic, and accordingly, the problem is : is it possible to consider the Arabs' approach to concepts close to the media in its western concept as its roots ? the importance of this study lies in its interest in the informative aspect of the discourse, as it highlights the richness of heritage, the genius of our Arab scholars, and the value of the Arab heritage.
