Abstract EN

This article tries to study the history of water in the city of Marrakesh and its surroundings during the French protection over Morocco by issuing decrees and laws to regulate the water affairs in the city.

This study is one of the neglected subjects in the contemporary Moroccan history field because of the complexity of its issues.

So, we will try to address the problem of colonialism and water by addressing the various questions related to it and also by talking a little about the boundaries of the city of Marrakesh and its surroundings.

Moreover, we will try to present a vision about the guardianship of French colonialism over the city's water systems and its different aspects.

All this will take into consideration the legal and administrative procedures approved by the protection under the supervision of public residency.

And the extent to which the city and the districts benefit from the advantages of the legal legislations on water rights, which have employed various mechanisms to manage its affairs that have been activated by several institutions
