Abstract EN

The power of a dynasty is undoubtedly the manifestation of several factors especially the strength of the governor and his close collaborators who tackle the matters of the people and the nation.This is the justification of the choice of discussing the family of Ibn Jama’a considered one of the those whose members have succeeded in governing with the Almohad kalifs.

They were so involved in the authority and they contributed by their acts to drawing positively and negatively the destiny of the empire during a very long time of its age.Si it is noted is that this family was present in the moment of the strong state during the government of the kalif Abou Yaakoub Youssef while it was also present when the state became weak and defeated during the government of the kalif Annassir and Al oustansiri and other kalifs after these ones.

So they were a part of both the powerful and the weak state.

That is what makes the topic of families during the Almobad era worth studying with interest in the sense that this study gives us a hint to have clear image of the society in addition to detail given about these families themselves.

So the study is an attempt to go deep in the origin of the family of Ibn Jama’a and to know how he made contact with the Almohad dynasty till his access to power.

The study sheds light also on the effects of his presence and that of his offspring and their plan to chase rivals so as to have a complete idea of his contributions in social and political reality then.
