Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the challenges facing the school orientation process in Algeria and on its achievements and aspirations since its independence until today, through a critical analytical study for various official texts and documents related to the school orientation process.

The study was concluded that the school orientation process in Algeria is gradually crystallizing its identity from the depth of the educational reality of the Algerian school.

It was noted that to fully fulfill the role entrusted to him, he had to draw his theoretical basis from the scientific currents which feed the application of school orientation in the world.
