The research included the introduction and the importance of the research in which the researcher touched on the topic of leadership in the field of training and the importance of the trainer's role in leading the team in addition to the distinctive features of the trainer's personality The study aimed to: -Knowing the values of the personality traits of some coaches of clubs in Basra governorate in volleyball and basketball, the advanced category.

Knowing the values of leadership styles of some club coaches in Basra Governorate in volleyball and basketball.

Knowing the differences between personal characteristics and leadership styles among volleyball and basketball coaches for some clubs in Basra Governorate, the category of applicants.

The researcher used the descriptive approach in a comparative method for its suitability to the nature of the problem.

The study was conducted on a sample of volleyball and basketball coaches in clubs in Basra Governorate.

The researcher used a number of methods to collect information, including the two Freiburg scale that measures the dimensions of personality characteristics and the scale of leadership styles in sport and after conducting the exploratory experiment on a sample outside Research sample The main experiment was conducted and then the data were statistically processed using the appropriate statistical means (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, (t) test for non-correlated samples.

The researcher reached the following conclusions: - The high aspect ratio (nervousness and control) of volleyball coaches was found- High dimensions (aggressiveness, depression, irritability, social, calm, control) among the coaches of Basra Governorate clubs- It was found that there are no significant differences between the members of the research sample in most of the paragraphs of the scale, which measures the leadership styles of trainers, specifically the methods of (training and instructions, democracy, dictatorship, positive reinforcement).

- In the paragraphs on the method of social support, significant differences emerged between basketball and volleyball coaches and in favor of volleyball coaches.
