Abstract EN

This article aims to introduce Imam Asadr Omar ben Abdulaziz ben Mazza Albukhari and his scholarly and social status as one of the scholars of the fourth and fifth centuries ah, and one of the diligent scholars in the Hanafi school of thought.

the problem of the study lies in the lack of introducing imam and his books, especially in modern time, hence there is a need to do so, revealing his scholarly stauts, in addition to having great characteristics and views in political and social terms.

the study concludes with a number of findings, the most important of which are: highlighting the imam’s scholarly status and his ijtihad, as evidenced by scholars’ praise to him and his status, and through the existing scientific literature relevant to the issue in question, and finally highlighting his political and social efforts.

all of this is actually revealed through the prominent role he played in his society until his death.
