Abstract EN

This Paper tackled poetic and cultural life of Hassan ibnThabit.

Al-Ansari It attempted to achieve a number of aims such as making aware of the poet's character in pre-Islamic era and in Islam in addition to identify his stances using poetry standing up for the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and defending the true religion of Islam as well as having insight into patterns of his poetry with respect to pride, satire, elegy and some statements about his poetry.

The researcher has employed descriptive-analytical method.

A number of results were reached by the researcher; the most important one is that Hassan ibnThabit is the poet in terms of that he is of the most prominent poets; his poetry was of high influence in Quraysh tribe during pre-Islamic era and that his poetry is in Islam emulates his version of poetry in pre-Islamic era or more.
