Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the perceived family support for wife in light of the midlife crisis and its relationship with the methods of facing her life Stress , to achieve that goal, the study tools were prepared, namely (ageneral data form, ascale of midlife crisis events, ameasure of family support, ameasure of stress facing methods(,These tools were applied to (280) working and non-working wives in middle age, from different socio-economic levels, they were chosen in a random and purposeful manner, and followed the descriptive analytical approach,The data were analyzed and Statistically Processed using (Spss) program.

The results found statistically significant differences in the events of midlife crisis of wives according to their age, marriage duration , Significant differences were found in the family support perceived according to residence, family members, and educational level of wife.

there were statistically significant differences of Stress (positive and negative) according to family members, and educational level of wife and husband , results also resulted in a positive statistically significant correlation between family support and positive methods of stress facing , while anegative relationship was found statistically significant Between family support and negative stress facing methods, The research recommended the necessity to allocate counseling awareness programs for women in the middle age stage, that qualify her to overcome the obstacles of the stage and the variables that abound in them and to identify positive methods in facing Stress with a focus on the importance of family support in overcoming that stage
