Abstract EN

Whereas the Egyptian revolutions that erupted against the Ptolemaic kings witnessed cases of the enslavement of an Egyptians, this research examines these cases through the papyri documents dated to the Ptolemaic Period, to determine the conditions and circumstances of these revolutions and how it created a suitable circumstance for the enslavement of Egyptians under the pretext of putting down the revolutions and suppressing it supporters.

This research also sheds light on how the enslavement of the Egyptians, they were captured /arrested by whom? andwhatthe official position of the Ptolemaic state towards this matter was, namely: Was the enslavement of the Egyptians based on a legal basis, or was the matter taking place outside the law and without the knowledge of the Ptolemaic state ?.
