Abstract EN

This brief research attempted to shed light on an important aspect of a new linguistic theory, and a level of modern semantic research, which is (textual coherence) or (text grammar), and this theory was limited to one of its elements, which is the referral component.

This research aimed to uncover the creative energies of Al-Mutanabi, explain the extent of textual interconnectedness and its degree in his poetry through the various types of referral, and to find out the hidden references that Al-Mutanabi did not declare in his poem through external referral.

The research was based on the descriptive approach that is based on extrapolating the reference forms (internal and external) in Al-Mutanabbi's poem, presenting them with a systematic presentation supported by basic grammar rules, describing, analyzing and interpreting them, and defining their characteristics.

To reach the meanings that the poet wanted to convey to the recipient.
