Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the role of Yarmouk University in reducing the phenomenon of unemployment from the point of view of graduate students.

To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher used the qualitative method (case study) by preparing the corresponding tool, which consisted of three main questions: What is the role of Yarmouk University in reducing unemployment? How can cooperation between the universities and community institutions contribute to reduce unemployment? What are the most effective suggestions and solutions to do so? The sample of the study consists of (28) male and female graduate students at Yarmouk University.

The results of the interviews showed that: Educational policies and various teaching strategies, linking theory to application alongside with curricular and extra-curricular activities have a significant role in reducing unemployment, and the various means of cooperation, community partnership and combating the culture of shame contribute significantly to reducing the phenomenon of unemployment.

The Study offers a number of suggestions, foremost of which are establishing various projects to employ graduate students, directing and investing their abilities besides improving the quality and outcomes of education
