The protection of national products has become among the governmental priorities, and several approaches are adopted, including those of a customs, administrative and penal nature, which are the mechanisms that are classified as traditional and direct.

with the adoption of the idea of commercial globalization, restricting the flow of goods and services has become unacceptable in transactions.

therefore, it was necessary to search for new mechanisms that achieve two goals, the first is the fulfillment of international obligations and the second is the protection of the national product, which is achieved by restrictions of a financial nature, which, although outwardly restricting the freedom of transactions in the field of exchange, but its content is the protection of the national product, and from here comes the role of this article in revealing the financial measures devoted by the Algerian legislator to protect the national product, by studying the two main mechanisms : devaluation and control of the exchange rate.
