This study aimed to identify the effect of using (Autograph) program on the development of understanding mathematical concepts and the retention of these concepts among first-grade male high school students.
To achieve this objective, the semi-experimental method was used.
The sample consisted of 56 students who were randomly selected from Najed high school in Hail City, KSA.
The sample students were divided equally into two groups (28 each).
The first group was taught using the (Autograph) program, and the second group was taught in a traditional method.
A teacher’s guide was prepared to help teachers teach the students using the (Autograph) program.
The experiment lasted for three weeks, in which an exam on the Mathematical Concepts was administrated pre and post the experiment (and after three weeks) on both groups.
The study’s findings revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and controlled groups in the post-exam of understanding mathematical concepts and retention of learning effect’s exam in each of the three aspects (explanation, interpretation and application) in favor of the experimental group.
