Abstract EN

The present study explores the adequacy of Algerian laws framing and regulating digital transactions and electronic commerce; and its ability to protecting electronic information systems.

The study also aims to determine Algerian legislation appropriateness) Electronic contracting; electronic signature; Electronic certification) and its compatibility with electronic services and identification of Algerian legislative structure readiness for the organizations' electronic transformation.

The study resulted that there is a hierarchy within the texts' penal system related to information systems' crimes depending on criminal risk assessed by the legislator for these acts.

The Algerian legislator also addressed the electronic contracting issue in concluding deals in Chapter VI entitled "Electronic communication and exchange of information".

The study also found out that texts issued in the protection of information and electronic transactions remain insufficient.
