Abstract EN

The research aims to shed light on the reality of the Basra Federal Court of Appeal / Judicial Palace library in order to introduce the services it provides to its actual beneficiaries, including judges, lawyers and students of the Judicial Institute.

It also aims to give more knowledge about the library in terms of the building, furniture budget, office group etc.

The case study is used as the methodology of this research and the library interview and observation were adopted in collecting data.

Through repeated visits, the researcher reached the following results: 1- Lack of working and specialized human resources in the field of information and libraries which negatively affects the services provided by the library.

2- There is no special budget available for the library to purchase and grow the library collection.

Among the recommendations made by the researcher are: 1- Providing professionally qualified and specialized human resources in the field of information and libraries.

2- Allocating a budget for the library to enable it to meet its needs.
