Abstract EN

The current research aimed to uncover the relationship between child abuse in early childhood stage and their mental readiness, and the research used the descriptive analytical method, on a sample of(55) children from evening-treated kindergarten aged from(4-6) years, A set of tools was applied, including the mental readiness test(Hamed Al-Abd, Abu Al-Azayem Al-Jamal, 1990), and the “mother-father” child abuse scale(the researchers' preparation).

The results of the research showed a negative correlation between child abuse and their mental readiness.

It is an(inverse) relationship, meaning that the more abuse the child is caused by the mother or the father, or both, the less is the percentage of mental readiness he has.
