The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of the information gap strategy in the collection and retention of the first-graders in the science class.

The experimental test method CRTs for two equal groups (experimental and female) was used in the research to achieve the objectives of the research, and the experiment was conducted in the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year at a school in Diyala Governorate.

The research sample identified (72) female students in the first-grade average of two divisions at Um Amara School for Girls, and (a) was selected as a division of the experimental Group and division B of the control group after being statistically rewarded in IQ variables and time-span in months.

The experiment began in 24/2/2019 and lasted up to 25/4/2019 and the second module was selected with three chapters of the science book and defined behavioral goals and teaching plans and was presented to experts and specialists in teaching methods.

The data were statistically processed using statistical means (Pearson L, T-t-test, difficulty, ease, and paragraph differentiation), the results showed that the students of the experimental group who studied using the information gap strategy were more than female students of the group who They studied using the usual method of achievement testing and retention, and in the light of the results The researcher recommends the possibility of applying the information gap strategy in the teaching of science material and introducing it within the vocabulary of curriculum methods of teaching in colleges and educational institutes and training teachers on how to use it.
