Abstract EN

This paper presented the theoretical framework for the sustainability of public debt, and aimed to assess it in Iraq during the years (2004-2018) using three approaches represented by stationary tests, cointegration tests, and estimating the fiscal reaction function.

the final results drawn from all the tests agreed that the sustainability of public debt in Iraq was not achieved, and the fiscal policy did not respond to the changes that take place in the stock of public debt.
