The current study looks at adaptation of dwellings in the old city of Hebron, some of which date back hundreds of years.

the study aims to shed light on the characteristics of the old city of Hebron, through an explanation of its components in terms of design, shapes and building materials, using a few examples from a number of houses in the old city, aesthetic components of these inhabited houses are explained and how they are adapted over time.

the study documents these houses with pictures and architectural plans that explain their patterns and details.

in conclusion, we try to conclude the reasons for the resilience of these houses and present recommendations to support their continuation and adaptation into contemporary requirements.
