The research aims to study the linguistic system in the context of the poetry of the Palestinian detainees and its interpretations between linguistics and semiotics through the Diwan “Light and Athar” of the detainee Ali Asafra, by talking about the philosophy of the linguistic system and its relationship to the context of texts and their interpretations in the light of linguistics and semiotics, and then revealing the nature of the linguistic system and its problems in the context of the texts of the literary discourse of the Palestinian detainees and the interpretations of its connotations and meanings between the linguistic structure of the text and the functions of its semiotic signs and symbols, and the impact of this on the effectiveness of receiving the connotation and its interpretation, and the realization of the poetics of the format and its purpose, and clarifying all of the above using the descriptive, artistic and stylistic approach, with a focus on reviewing poetic models from the aforementioned Diwan.

The conclusion of the research came with the results and recommendations.
