Abstract EN

The subject of this research is a study of the methodology of Imam Al-Shawkani (died.

1250 AH) in his book "AL-Badr AL-Talia' Bemahasin man Ba'da Al-Karn Al-Sabia' ".

In the first chapter, the researcher defined Imam Al-Shawkani, and his position among the innovators of Islam who advocated diligence in Islamic sciences, and neglecting blind imitation and intolerance of doctrines and people, and following the evidence.

She also mentioned his scientific biography with an overview of his sheikhs, students, and the most important books in various sciences.

In the second chapter of the research, she gave a general definition to the book and explained the reason for its authorship, and studied the temporal and geographical dimensions of his translations along with their comprehensiveness and diversity.

She extracted the elements of translation of the author and indicated its diversity for everything related to the translator, which gives a complete idea about him from the scientific, life and literary aspects and she mentioned some examples for each element of the translation.

Then the researcher mentioned the features that distinguished the author's translations, and showed their difference in terms of size and the reasons for this difference and discrepancy between one translation and another, and the author's relationship with his contemporary translators, and his views on some of them.

Finally, the researcher presented a summary about the author's opinion about the previous translations' scientists with examples from the book about what previously mentioned.
