Knowledge management Is one of the modern management concepts That Is becoming increasingly interesting for education Organizations in the light of the shift towards the knowledge society, especially in universities, as it is the nucleus of different research and knowledge and has many experts and specialists in different sciences, as this paper aimed to shed light on the topic of knowledge management as a modern entry point for the management of higher education institutions within the Framework of university governance in terms of their meaning and stages of application, and to clarify the basic concepts associated with knowledge management, and the requirements of their application at the university, and highlight the relationship between Knowledge management and university education as one of the Most important tasks of the latter is to find knowledge, and one of its Most important objectives is to spread this knowledge, and put it in the service of society, education, and scientific research.

The study found that knowledge management in universities does not operate in a vacuum, but operates within a regulatory environment that includes many requirements that interact with each other, affecting the university's knowledge management process, the most important of which are organizational culture, organizational structure, information technology, and organizational leadership.
