The present study aimed to review the theory of mind, which is considered one of the most important concepts in developmental psychology and cognitive psychology, as the essence of this concept was addressed by giving a historical overview of its development.

And the most important of its definitions is to move to the principles of the theory of mind and its most prominent tasks.

The stages of development of this concept among normal children were also addressed, as well as the deficiencies in the ence of the theory of mind among some with intellectual disabilities, and in the end we touched upon the components and uses of the theory of mind.
