The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between forgiveness and big five personality factors among school principals at Mafraq educational district in Jordan.

the sample of the study consisted of (165) school principals at Mafraq educational district, (70) male principals and (95) female principals, in.

to achieve the aims of the study, the big personality factor scale of costa & McCrae (1992) fitted to the Jordanian environment by (Marabheh, 2005), and the heartland forgiveness scale was used.

the results of the study showed that forgiveness was high among school principals.

there are significant statistical differences at the level of statistical significance (α = 0.05) for the effect of gender in the level of forgiveness and in favor of females, as they were more forgiveness than males, while there were no significant statistical differences due to experience, and the results of the study also showed that there is a positive and significant statistical relationship between forgiveness; and big personality factors across all domains.
