Abstract EN

Hospitals are constantly faced with the challenge of adopting a modern health system concept to be applied in their everyday work, knowing that their main objective as any other service institution, is to meet the needs of patients, keeping in mind the volume of demand being expressed, and the cost of resources needed to provide these services, as a way to contribute in the process of strengthening the capacity of the hospital to preserve its place, to develop, and to increase its competitive capacity.

Herein lies the importance of establishing a mechanism to evaluate the performance of health systems, that helps the hospital administration to identify the positive aspects of its performance that should be strengthened, and preserved, and take appropriate actions on those aspects that need to be addressed and developed.

Mainly, this mechanism aims to find out the quality and competence of each individual in the work he/she performs, and to evaluate his/her abilities, for development and promotion purposes.
