Abstract EN

The presented research is an attempt to analyze the changes in the gross domestic product (GDP) for the period from 2010 to 2019 for the Algerian economy.

For the purpose of quantitative analysis, the researcher used the technique of input-output analysis, specifically one of the tools of this technique, which is structural decomposition analysis (SDA).

Input-output tables for the years 2010-2019 covering an entire decade have been used for this purpose.

Using data from the various economic survey published by the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

The researcher used structural decomposition analysis to classify the sources of the different changes in the growth of the gross domestic product.

To monitor all these changes using the PYIO quantitative processing program.

Using this tool, the study concluded that obtaining the technological effect and the final demand effect as a whole.

These pressures show the process of demand generation and technological modernization of the Algerian economy, closely linked to the growth of the manufacturing sectors, which are leading sectors according to Rasmussen's forward and backward linkages measures.

The results show a positive contribution of all sectors to the increase in the gross domestic product (GDP), except for the building materials sector, which contributed negatively
