This study aimed to anticipate the reality of the non-hydrocarbon exports index according to the fluctuation of real exchange rate that coincided with the variation of global hydrocarbon prices, thus offering an opportunity for the economic diversification in Algeria, which is vulnerable to the real exchange fluctuations affecting the economic diversification including non-hydrocarbon exports.

therefore, we expect from the depreciation of the real exchange rate according to the global collapse of hydrocarbon prices, a positive impact in the long term on non-hydrocarbon export, which supports the need to exploit this situation by improving the investment climate for the strategic sectors that support non-hydrocarbon exports.
