Abstract EN

This study came with the aim of shedding light on the issue of local governance and its role in promoting the performance of local groups in Algeria, as an approach that requires transparency and accountability, and enabling local groups to effectively contribute to managing local affairs and preparing public policies and development programs.

In view of the great difficulties facing the local administration in Algeria and its inability to manage the local affairs.

This study concluded that it is necessary to adopt the governance approach as an effective management method that contributes to strengthening the capabilities of the Algerian administration system, establishing participatory democracy and achieving sustainable local development.
