According to this study, findings show banking governance principles and standards role in improving banking sector efficiency and performance.

The latter is considered to be the core sector of the economic corporation that seeks for development.

Moreover, to limit and well manage surrounding risks and crisis that ensures bank sector stability.

Therefore, several economic organizations and global supervisory authorities call for the adoption of governance standards.

To preserve the banking sector safety, Algeria, among many countries that already have applied these standards, tries to set governances foundations at the banking sector level through several laws and legislations that will mitigate risks.
