Abstract EN

This study aims to define the role of electronic payment methods in addressing the liquidity crisis in Algeria.

This crisis that the country witnessed, especially recently, where withdrawing money has become an obsession for citizens, and if that happens (withdrawing money), then it will be after going through waiting lines that last for hours, and the reality of electronic payment operations in Algeria and the extent of its development and the spread of the culture of dealing with it was also examined.

This study reached a set of results, the most important of which is that electronic payment is still a far cry from the established objectives and desired by the monetary authorities, which aspire to reach global levels, and this is what made the liquidity crisis continue and intensify so that the rate of paper money circulation is one of the most prominent reasons for contributing to it.
