Abstract EN

The present study aimed to develop a proposed model for designing massive open online curses (MOOCs).

the researcher believes that this proposed model will improve the development practices of open courses by identifying easy-to-use development procedures and direct guiding strategies.

the researcher undertook a critical review of the relevant literature and observed the development of MOOCs ; as a preparation to reviewing the (11) experts in educational technology.

based on the suggestions of experts through three rounds, the model was developed in its final form.

the model consisted of five main stages; (preparatory stage, design stage, development stage, management and implementation stage, evaluation and review stage), each stage follows a set of procedural steps.

the study recommended using the proposed model in developing MOOCs, training the teaching staff and course developers on how to use it, and making them aware of the importance of relying on them when developing MOOCs.

it also proposed a number of studies; an evaluation of the model, or a comparison between the proposed model and other models, or to know the effect of using the proposed model on the development of the skills of the teaching staff and course developers.
